Randy Jones

for Radio Drum and Keyboard [2000]

UNI was a piece composed and performed by Andrew Schloss and myself. A structured improvisation in both audio and video. It had just recently become possible to process video on the computer in realtime, and we were excited by the possibilities. I collected the video sources near my home in Seattle. Short clips of bamboo, gravel, and other things found in a waterfront park were manipulated live using Onadime Composer. Sound material was gathered from these clips and other sources, and processed using Max/MSP.
